Jim Carr has over 17 years of experience working with private and public clients in the real estate industry.
He has worked with organizations to address questions in four core areas: operations, construction and real estate, technology and finance/accounting as clients look to develop and implement their business strategy, optimize organizational structure, create efficient operations, improve top and bottom line financial measures and streamline their technology platform. Over the years, Jim has led many collaborative teams of advisors and client team members to ensure comprehensive, efficient operating principles are in place on the initiatives he leads. He has worked or provided service delivery to several Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller public and private sector organizations with a focus on real estate advisory services.

Director of Deloitte Consulting’s real estate advisory practice — Helped run and build a substantial client base and expanded the group’s service offerings.
Independent Advisor for Lehman Brothers Holdings — Designed and implemented a risk management solution for their real estate portfolio (post-bankruptcy)
President for Wall Ties International — Operated all aspects of a West African based construction company
Senior Vice President of Operations for KB Home: Managed core departments of the Los Angeles Division including Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Construction, Scheduling, Customer Service and Finance
Vice President/Senior Regional Controller for KB Home: Managed key aspects of the Colorado Accounting Shared Services Center
Vice President of Finance for KB Home: Managed the financial and operational reporting for the New Mexico division
Senior Manager — Ernst & Young LLP — West Region Leader of the Engineering, Construction and Real Estate Advisory group.
Mr. Carr’s educational background includes a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame in Finance and Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in Finance and Accounting.
He is also actively involved as a board member and keynote speaker for many industry related organizations.
